Jagat Niwas Palace October 2023 Beautiful Hotel on the Lakeside overlooking the Taj Palice, which is in the centre of the lake. It has a good restaurant on the roof terrace and on the floor below. Beautiful views at sunset from the terrace restaurant. The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were all very helpful and caring. There are lake facing rooms and garden facing rooms. The former are about £100 per night extra. We stayed in the garden facing room which is basically overlooking the corridor, which in turn overlooks the central courtyard. This was perfectly satisfactory as you could view the lake from the terrace if you wanted. We stayed an extra night. As there was not any availability left for our room, we were offered a cheaper room at £60 per night. These have only just been completed at the time of this review. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality and finish. They opened onto a back stairwell to both the terrace and/or reception. A stained glass window opened over a back area. Perfectly acceptable. It was modern and opulent, well worth the £60. There was another room on the ground floor ,I think, that we refused. It was tucked underneath near the ground floor stairs and which the small window overlooked. Not facing the courtyard. The streets nearby seemed safe with small shops selling everything. There are plenty of tuck tucks outside which will give you an hour long tour for about £2. to £3. Very enjoyable stay. Breakfast Included. Colin and Ann touring India and Sri Lanka from England

We booked the Heritage room for our two nights stay in Udaipur. When we checked in, I was quite upset to see our room didn't have the Jharokha which the booking details said it would. Discussed this with the reception, and they offered us a room change for day 2 and two complimentary spas to compensate for day 1, which was very nice. On day 2, to our surprise the property upgraded us to the Presidential suite in the terrace. We were so happy and impressed with the room and management that we chose to stay in the property the whole afternoon and evening, and dined at the hotel rooftop restaurant Chandni two nights in a row. Ishwar from the front desk ensured our experience was above and beyond, so thank you for the same.

exepctataions were not great considering it was only rated 3 star hotel, however they have kept the hotel very well and location can not get better then this.If it had the required size it would easily qualify for 5 star so look no further. Food in this restaurant including breakfast was very good. restaurant was always busy due to amaizing views and lot of non hotel guests want to explore this so they do visit restaurant. We booked three rooms one of which was non-lake facing suit which would be my reccomondation due to few reasons. it is on roof top terrece with best views once you come out of room and room is very specious. hotel staff was very friendly and helped us a lot during our stay.

Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in a beautiful pichola lake view suite for 5 nights was spectacular. Having had holidays in 96 different countries and at least 500+ different hotel rooms, the cavernous Maharaja was definitely the most blingy with cut pieces of mirror covering all the ceilings and detailed murals covering the walls made our room very special. Expensive at £300 per room per night, but good value compared to say the Taj Palace at £500 per night. The rooftop restaurant with uninterrupted lake and palace views served very good food at reasonable prices and was ideal for a memorable romantic St Valentines evening meal !

1. The property is located in Old City, 300 Meters away from City Palace, but once you are in the property, it's super quiet and peaceful. 2. It is 100 meters from the main shopping street, where you get all the artefacts and antiques. 3. The restaurant has continental and Indian cuisine. 4. The property is on Lake Pichola; from this hotel, we get to see Taj Lake View, Oberio Udaivillas, and Leelas - all the high-end property around the lake, which provides beautiful views during the sunset. 5. The rooftop restaurant is a must-visit, providing a panoramic view of Lake Pichola. 6. I will stay in the same property if I visit again.
